INSIDE DELIVERY is a form of freight shipping which includes the following:
-Delivery truck will pull up in front of your home or business
-Delivery man will unload the truck and deliver your full order into your home or business
-Inside Delivery includes placement into the room of your choice.
-Please verify if needing to go up/down stairs or elevator, additional fees may apply.
*PLEASE NOTE! Almost all other similar companies ONLY offer "FREE CURBSIDE SHIPPING". Curbside Shipping means the following:
-Delivery truck will pull up in front of your home or business
-You, the customer, are responsible for unloading the truck and carrying the items into your home
Furniture, by nature, is usually always large and heavy, and extremely hard to handle. Without the proper handling, damage and injury can be caused. For example, a simple chair can weigh upwards of 100 lbs in an extremely large box. This would be very difficult for anyone to handle.
FREE INSIDE DELIVERY provides our customers a tremendous advantage over the competition, as well as making furniture delivery, which is usually difficult, much easier and simpler to plan and complete. We have seen the obstacles associated with CURBSIDE DELIVERY and would like to make the furniture purchasing process as smooth and hassle-free as possible for our customers.
» If shipped via Freight:
- Customer will be emailed tracking number which can be tracked
- Customer will be contacted by the Freight company to schedule the delivery
» If shipped via FedEx:
- Customer will receive email with tracking number which can be tracked @ Fedex.com
How does the delivery process work?
Your order will arrive approximately 10 - 14 business days from the date that the order is confirmed in stock. It takes slightly longer than a standard parcel delivery because they work off of appointments for residential deliveries.
The carrier will call in advance to schedule a delivery appointment, generally within a 4-hour window. The reason they need to call for an appointment is if one shipment does not deliver that day then the rest of the deliveries on that truck may be blocked. The reason they cannot offer an exact time of delivery is traffic congestion often makes it tough to make a precise time and a driver does not know how long a delivery will take until he arrives at a house and begins the process of unloading and delivering an order. Thus one delay creates a domino effect the rest of the delay.
Freight carriers normally only work Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are not available for weekend deliveries. If it is more convenient for you most carriers will allow for you to come to the local freight terminal and make a dock pickup. Simply ask the customer service person who calls you for an appointment about dock pickup if you are interested in this option. |
